Become a Champion of Home

Give Back!

How It Works

When someone joins Home for a Home, they commit to funding homes for families in need. Each member receives an individual fundraising campaign they can donate directly to, and share with their friends, family, and sphere to contribute to as well. Once enough donations are in to reach the goal, a home is funded and then built.

When Home for a Home started, membership consisted primarily of real estate agents. As real estate members, some would choose to donate a portion of their commission to fund the construction of a home for a family in need and others would set up monthly contributions.

Every member can decide how they would like to fund their campaign, and there are many avenues by which this can be done, including mini-events, monthly contributions, and social networking. We are here to help support you in any way we can.

Each home is individually funded and the member receives information and photos of the family that they can share with their sphere.

The home is simple, yet solid. It includes a main living room, a water filter system, a highly efficient wood-burning stove, a bunk bed, and, additionally, a bag of groceries as a housewarming gift. The current fundraising goal per home is $3,300.

The homes are a vast improvement over the recipient family's previous structure.

Once a year, members have an exclusive invitation to visit Guatemala to help with the construction of a home and meet the families.
